DBC Outreach Programs

Impact Evangelism Team

The mission of the Impact team is to equip God’s people for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12). We do this through prayer, offering regular equipping classes, and by encouraging and organizing regular outreach.

ACTS 2:42 Prayer Meeting-Monthly prayer meeting open to all that meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 pm in the church library. We come together to pray for the lost, all the different ministries of the church, upcoming outreaches, missionaries, and any other specific requests the church body may have.

Equipping Classes:

Evangelism Explosion– Share Your Faith Workshop/EV2 (evangelismexplosion.org/training)- The share your faith workshop is a one day course in how to share the basic EE outline for presenting the gospel. EV2 is a follow up to the one day share your faith workshop and includes a 7 week hands on course to dig deeper into how to share the gospel.  This includes weekly discussion and hands on witnessing in the community.

Relational Evangelism– A 6 week course teaching you how to be light shining in the darkness.  A lifestyle of evangelism where evangelism is taught as a process.  Plowing the hardness of the human heart, sowing the seed of the Word of God,  cultivating relationships, and praying for God to bring the water will be emphasized.

Case for Faith/Case for Christ (www.leestrobel.com/store.php)-DVD studies taught by Lee Strobel which discusses common questions that unbelievers have about the Christian faith and Christ

Conquer Your Fear Share Your Faith (www.livingwaters.com/)- DVD study taught by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron emphasizing the use of the Ten Commandments in sharing the gospel.

Outreach Programs:

Bill Glass Champions for Life (billglass.org)- Prison ministry that allows volunteers to go into local prisons to share the gospel with men and women inmates. These events are done throughout the USA, typically occurring on a Friday and Saturday (Weekend of Champions) or Saturday only (Day of Champions). Every year there is 3-5 events in Ohio with a Columbus event every 3 years. This is an awesome, nonthreatening way to share the gospel with men and women that are humbled and open to the gospel!

This is done over a few hours before the fireworks start, typically from 7:30-9:30.
