How do I become a member of Dublin Baptist Church?
Our church receives people for membership in one of the following ways:
1. By Salvation and Baptism -individuals who are inviting Jesus Christ into their lives to forgive them of their sins and take control of their lives and are willing to be baptized by immersion as a symbol of their new life in Christ.
2. By transfer of Membership or by Statement – individuals who have accepted Christ, have membership in another church and have been immersed as believers in Christ.
3. By Baptism – individuals who have previously accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior but were never immersed.
During service times you may fill out the back of an attendance registration card indicating your desire to join. You may simply place the card in the offering plate and one of the Pastors will contact you later. You will also be given an opportunity to come forward during a hymn of decision and present the card to the Pastor at the front of the church if you wish.
All adult candidates for membership are required to participate in a New Member Orientation Class. This special orientation is offered every 4 – 6 weeks throughout the year. After completion of new member orientation, the candidates will be voted on by the deacon body at their next regular meeting.
Call the Church office to sign up for the next class.
